We wrote to you in August 2021 about our proposals to increase most DVSA statutory fees by a modest 1.5%
We wanted to let you know that we have now published the results of the consultation.
DVSA received 2,573 responses to the consultation. 68% of respondents said that the proposed fee increases were fair. 21% said they strongly disagreed with the increase.

DVSA Update:
We wrote to you on 6 May 2021 to let you know we are making changes to the theory test service for England, Scotland and Wales, including changes to the theory test booking service.
The new theory test service will start from Monday 6 September. As part of the new service, a new booking system was due to open on 8 July.
Unfortunately, this has been postponed to 19 July to allow time for final testing before we launch. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
You can continue to book tests for dates on or before 3 September only, using the current booking system. Theory test dates for Monday 6 September onwards will only be available when the new booking service opens on 19 July.
We will provide an update on the opening of the new theory test booking service and planned changes to theory…

DVSA Update
To help keep you, your family, your pupils and our examiners safe, we’d encourage you to take coronavirus (COVID-19) rapid lateral flow tests twice a week.
Rapid lateral flow tests are used to identify people with COVID-19 who are not showing symptoms. Around 1 in 3 individuals with COVID-19 do not have any symptoms. If left undetected they will continue to spread the virus.
Testing those without symptoms is an important tool in stopping the spread of COVID-19. Each positive case identified can help prevent many more infections.
Rapid lateral flow testing is currently being offered in Wales to people who do not have symptoms, in a range of different settings.
